July 2022 update

Supplier Awards and a UK first!

This month we bring you news on the latest winners of our quarterly supplier awards – they will each be receiving a bottle of champagne and a certificate. Well done to all the winners. We also bring you news of a UK first – the first ever European Dialysis and Transplant Games to be held in the UK and supported by MA Group.

As usual we won’t be sending out a newsletter in August, but it will be back in September. So we hope all of our clients, suppliers and staff have a wonderful summer and that it doesn’t get as hot as it did last week!

MA Assist Supplier of the Quarter June 2022

We are delighted to announce that our MA Assist Supplier of the Quarter June 2022 is House Line Building Services.

HLBS have been a consistent 5 star supplier for Q2, with Net Promoter Scores above 80 and plenty of MAD announcements, all of this on a sizeable amount of work. They regularly go the extra mile, constantly picking up claims outside “normal” areas. They have helped us enormously on storm claims over the past six months and continue to support us through their coverage in London. Their exemplary performance is also having a knock on effect getting other suppliers to up their game.

Well done to everyone at HLBS.

A special mention also goes to MEA (Projects) who were a very close second, mostly because of their attitude and willingness to help us with out of area work and in assisting in complaint and escalation resolution. They have only been on our network for seven months, but are already one of our best performers.

Virtus Surveyor of the Quarter June 2022

Our Virtus Surveyor of the Quarter for June is Jeremy Pathak.

Jeremy is always positive, cheerful, responsive, and willing to help Virtus when requests are outside his normal area. His performance is above target for all of the key metrics and we’ve had positive feedback on him from all the MA Group Property Claims departments who interact with him.

Well done Jeremy.

Revival Branch of the Quarter June 2022

We are delighted to announce that the Revival Branch of the Quarter for June is Revival East Anglia.

We’ve seen an improvement in performance in recent months, even during their branch move, which shows that they’ve maintained their standards regardless of the disruption they’ve had. They just get on with things and we have no issues with them – no complaints and 4 star performance.

Well done to everyone in East Anglia!

European Dialysis and Transplant Games

The first ever European Dialysis and Transplant Games to be held in the UK will kick off next month, with Oxford hosting the event.

The Games were first staged in Athens in 2000 and subsequently have been held in nine different European countries. The Games comprise a week of multi-sport competition amongst solid organ transplant recipients and kidney dialysis patients from over 25 countries across Europe. The event is similar to the Paralympics Games or Invictus Games, and we anticipate over 400 competitors attending in Oxford.

The event is a major opportunity to promote the huge benefits of organ donation and amazing life-saving impact of organ transplantation. And MA Group are very proud to be sponsors and supporters of these fantastic Games.

Paul Hayman, MA Group CEO, donated a kidney to his daughter Laura in June 2017. Since then MA Group has supported the Oxford Young Adult Clinic, a fantastic charity that supports young people, including Laura Hayman, with kidney failure. MA Group has raised over £45,000 for the charity through its annual golf day and dinner. So we are delighted that we can help more transplant and dialysis recipients by supporting the European Games.

There will be a parade of athletes on the afternoon of Sunday 21st August through central Oxford which will process to the historic Sheldonian Theatre, the venue for the Opening Ceremony. So if you are close to Oxford that day, why not pop down to support the athletes?

New client contract and more training

At the start of July we were thrilled to go live with a new contract with our longest running client. Using a new principal contractor model, this contract will deliver even better results for our client and their customers and our suppliers.

Over the last few weeks we have invested in more training for our claims handlers. We have trained staff on the new contract and the responsibilities involved in being a princpial contractor, and also trained them on drying and restoration and asbestos removal. Thank you to Phil Short for providing the drying and restoration training and to Steve Kennedy and Matt Pickett from Safeline Environmental for providing the asbestos training.

MA Group MAD Awards

Our MADdest employee in June was Jordan Woodbridge, one of our claims handlers.

Jordan has only been with the company since the beginning of May but has already made a positive impression with our major client. He received some fantastic feedback:

“I have spoken to you over several weeks on various issues and you are always polite, helpful, calm and pro active. You always do what you say you will do, whether it be ringing a contractor or providing updates, going that extra mile to resolve issues and obtain updates.

I just wanted say thank you for this. You are a great asset to MAAssist.”

Well done Jordan, you are Making A Difference, enjoy spending your vouchers.
