April 2021 update

A better way

April has seen the launch of our new brand and website, MA Group Property Claims, which has generated a lot of interest already, and a new case study showing how MA Group and one of our contractors pulled out all the stops to keep a doctor’s surgery and Covid-19 vaccination centre open.

We have news on the Suppliers of the Quarter ended March 2021, all of which will be receiving their champagne and certificates very soon. And we have the the second of our “Meet the Team” features – this time the Propostion Team.

New integrated service

April has seen the launch of our new brand and website, MA Group Property Claims. This has been the result of our huge investments in integrated systems and processes, staff training and efficiencies to bring together our three property claims businesses into one seamless service – bringing together validations and surveyingdisaster restoration and building reinstatement under one integrated claims management solution.

VirtusRevival and MA Assist remain as brands that can be used individually by insurers who do not wish to use the fully integrated service. But for those who wish to make the most of reduced hand-offs and friction, better customer outcomes and indemnity savings, MA Group Property Claims is the answer.

MA Assist Supplier of the Quarter

Congratulations to JJK Building Limited, our MA Assist Supplier of the Quarter ended March 2021.

JJK Building are a relatively new contractor to the network having only been with us for just over a year. They have a “can do” approach to their work and since joining our network they have consistently performed well and excelled at delivering a world class service to our customers – this is reflected in NPS scores of over 80 for the first quarter of 2021.

Virtus Surveyor of the Quarter

Adam Smillie is the Virtus Surveyor of the Quarter ended March 2021.

Adam has gone above and beyond in supporting us generally and specifically in the further flung postcode of EX.  His reports are clear and concise and invariably on time. Well done Adam, keep up the good work.

Revival Branch of the Quarter

Our Revival Branch of the Quarter is Halifax. Andrew, Steve and the team consistently achieved 4 stars throughout the quarter and also received six MAD announcements internally following excellent feedback from clients and customers – including one from a famous sporting VIP!!

Great property claims planning and communication

Our latest case study demonstrates how great property claims planning and communication by MA Group and contractors helped to keep Covid-19 vaccinations going in February/March this year.

A doctor’s surgery in Norfolk was hit by a car during a police chase.The impact caused significant damage which would have been a concern in normal times, but as this surgery was also a Covid-19 vaccination centre it was even more important that the claim be dealt with quickly.

MA Group worked with its contractor J Lovels to make the property safe the same day, planned the works to ensure that they could be carried out safely whilst the surgery remained open and then worked quickly to ensure the claim was finished and closed in less than a month of receiving it.

Well done to everyone involved at J Lovels and MA Group for delivering such a great quick and efficient service

Meet our Proposition Team

Our Proposition Team is responsible for IT project management and systems development as well as producing data and insights. Our experienced business analysts have the capacity, competencies and desire to develop the MA Group proposition through continuous improvement, insights and adoption of new technologies.

       

James Ewart     Simon Kaye     Adam Tansley     Tim Hudson     Kay Snuggs

With over 20 years of project management and business analysis experience James Ewart is our Senior Business Analyst. He has worked on many projects for FTSE100 companies including procurement integration projects for Procter & Gamble, Diageo and others, redesigning and rebuilding prepaid card platforms for the likes of RBS, More Than and HSBC and creating and managing ecommerce platforms for incentive and recognition programmes. His strong analytical skills and user focus are incredibly useful for MA Group for the design of our software and processes. His hobbies include socialising, cycling, (he has ridden from Prague to Budapest and from Lisbon to Porto), online gaming and cricket.

Simon Kaye has five years’ experience as a business analyst and has also worked in operations and account management. He enjoys the problem solving challenges presented by business analysis and the opportunity to design solutions that help others to work better. He enjoys online gaming with friends and playing the guitar. He is also a keen indoor climber.

Adam Tansley has been with MA Group since January 2011. During that time he has achieved his CII certificate, completed Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) training at the University of London and a Lean Practitioner course through the British Standards Institution (BSI). He is now studying for a Business Analysis Diploma with BCS. Adam enjoys Formula 1, gaming and spending time with his wife and dog.

Tim Hudson has worked in operations and property claims for financial institutions, including major insurers, since 1998. He is CII qualified and also holds diplomas in Call Centre Management, in Call Centre Technology and in Networking and Telecoms Management. Out of work he supports Millwall FC (we all have our crosses to bear) and is a keen cyclist who has regularly climbed the alpine passes in Europe.

Kay Snuggs was the Training & Quality Manager for Revival before it was acquired by MA Group. She is now Implementation Manager, assisting the Proposition Team with the implementation and training of new systems, processes and projects across the group and its networks. She is Cert CII qualified. Kay has two sons and one daughter with 2 young grandchildren and is a keen gardener.

MA Group MAD Awards

Well done to Sophia Tester in our Control Centre in Aylesbury  – the MADest person in MA Group in March 2021.

She has been very supportive to a colleague returning from maternity leave, getting her back up to speed by answering any queries she has had about how Pulse has changed, or how things are done differently since she went on maternity leave.

She has been very patient and supportive, well done Sophia.
