MA Group continues to grow
The big news this month is MA Group‘s acquisition of The Cosmetic Repair Company, a fantastic addition to our range of services, coming almost exactly two years after we acquired Chem-Dry UK, rebranded Revival.
Other news this month includes our first ESG report and MA Group signing up to the AI Code of Conduct. To find out more, read on!
The Cosmetic Repair Company
On 28th October MA Group acquired 76% of the share capital of The Cosmetic Repair Company (Northern) Limited (“CRC”).

Based in Halifax, CRC provides surface repair and mastic sealant solutions for housebuilding, general construction, commercial and retail buildings, hotels, leisure, private individuals and many more. Services include:
- Cosmetic repairs – specialist fillers, hardeners, polishes and paints are used to fix surfaces that have been exposed to damage. Surfaces such as worktops, glass, UPVC, sanitary ware, brickwork and stone are seamlessly repaired.
- Brick tinting – changing the appearance of brick buildings or making the colour of buildings perfectly uniform.
- Mastic sealant – from windows and doors to worktops and movement joints, CRC’s fully qualified, sealant application specialists use only the best products to achieve a long-lasting waterproof finish.
CRC enhances the range of products and services that MA Group can provide to insurers and their intermediaries, housebuilders, housing associations and build to rent specialists. Alongside MA Group’s in-house cosmetic repair solution, Surface Engineered Repairs (SER) by NHCC in the South East, MA Group now has a nationwide service for surface repair solutions.
CRC supports MA Group’s ESG strategy by helping to reduce waste through repairing rather than replacing.
CRC’s efficient services will reduce the stress and inconvenience experienced by our clients’ customers by providing quicker and cleaner solutions to replacement, using highly qualified technicians trained to meet all surface repair needs in one visit.
Combined with MA Group’s digital solutions and data analysis to demonstrate customer satisfaction, costs, performance and trends, CRC and SER are a reliable, well-funded and responsive nationwide service.

Two year anniversary

31st October marked two years since MA Group acquired Chem-Dry UK and launched Revival Blue. Earlier this year we combined our two networks to become one Revival. We have achieved so much in such a short time, combining technical expertise through our highly skilled and trained technicians with world class customer service to bring “a better way” to the disaster management industry.
- The use of technological innovations such as TREVOR, Scoper, Key IVR and Encircle have brought improvements in consistency of communication, shorter lifecycles, reductions in CO2 output, and cost savings.
- Our Know Your Skills|Grow Your Skills industry-leading training programme promotes Continuous Professional Development via over 150 modules supporting the progression of our staff and suppliers to the highest levels of knowledge and expertise.
- Our world class NPS score of over 90 shows how customers agree that our service is outstanding.
- We’re also thrilled that one of our largest clients has chosen to use Revival as their sole restoration supplier – demonstrating that solid relationships built on trust and commitment really do stand the test of time.
It makes us so excited to see what year three will bring!

A.I. Code of Conduct
We are pleased to announce that MA Group has signed up to the Voluntary Code of Conduct for the Development, Implementation, and Use of AI in Claims (www.aicodeofconduct.co.uk). As A.I. becomes an essential and significant part of our industry-leading services (through TREVOR and our continuous improvement techniques that use data analysis to predict outcomes) we felt it was important for us to demonstrate our ethical credentials by signing up to this code.

Any company, organisation, or individual who considers themselves to be part of the claims and supply chain sector of the insurance industry can sign up to this code. It was devised by 127 experts and sets out a simple set of guidelines to help all those involved in A.I. design and deployment to stop, think, and properly consider the basis on which A.I. is to be used. The Code has been drafted to reflect recent government guidance on the key issues that need to be considered when adopting A.I., and covers the following five areas:
- Safety, Security, and Robustness
- Transparency and Explainability
- Fairness
- Accountability and Governance
- Contestability and Redress

MA Group Annual Awards lunch
We are really looking forward to our next Annual Awards lunch which will be held on 23rd January 2025 at the gorgeous Chartered Accountants Hall in London. As usual, we will be recognising our top performing suppliers and staff and will be laying on a slap up lunch. This year we are thrilled that Mary Portas OBE will be our guest speaker.

Please contact Sally-Ann Johnson if you would like to attend.
MA Group MAD Awards
Our October winner was Caitlyn Murray, Claims Handler based in Aylesbury.
She took on two projects recently and excelled at them both whilst also keeping on top of her normal workload.
She did a massive WIP review of 750 work orders to check if they were eligible for invoicing for Revival. Whilst doing this Caitlyn also made sure that the claims were updated, and she corrected anything that was causing issues on the file for them to be processed more efficiently. Updates were provided regularly, and this was all completed in a very short timeframe. She also reviewed 41 historical files to audit them to ensure invoicing had been correctly carried out for suppliers and clients.
Well done Caitlyn.
Christmas is coming
It seems impossible, but Christmas is not far away!! As usual we won’t be publishing a newsletter in December so we are taking this opportunity to wish you all well for the festive period.
MA Group head office will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and will close early, at 2pm, on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Revival‘s 24 hour emergnecy service will be operational throughout the festive period, as normal.
